This Special Issue aims to advance ethics of algorithmic persuasion in marketing. It seeks to fill the critical gaps related to the underexplored mechanisms by which AI technologies construct, amplify, or mitigate consumer vulnerability; the limited empirical evidence on how privacy risks intersect with persuasion strategies; and the insufficient integration of ethical principles into the design of AI-powered marketing systems.
